Reflection

Throughout this entire semester, I felt a little overwhelmed by the whole typography. It was all new to me, It was my first time creating a new font and arranging the paragraphs, etc. However, it was something I will have to focus on in the future to improve my skills. I felt disappointed that I wasn't able to keep up in the middle of the exercise as well, as I was a little confused about what I was doing, so I had to ask around for some help. This is not the end for me, I will not give up on the idea of typography, I will keep practicing to make my designs better than the ones I did for the tasks given.

Observations

For the past few weeks, I looked through the lectures as well, and I managed to understand that typography has its own history. It shows how their history is a part of our world till today. It is so interesting that typography can also capture people's attention just from words, knowing that one little mistake such as kernings and spacings could change people's perspective on the whole design, which is why when I explained in my reflection, I was quite disappointed in what my design outcome has become because it does not amaze people. I was not proud of it as well. In the end, It has come down to little details of your design.

Findings

Finally, I would say I did enjoy learning typography. For the first time, I could actually put a lot of thought into my own work, especially when searching for references. I personally feel like I could've done better because by learning all the lectures I found out that typography plays a lot of different roles in many design fields. Paying attention to the little details is very important as well.
