Fundamentals of Vehicle Design (Project 1)
Instructions
Pre-Production (Project 1)
You are to create a suitable vehicle and props design for the world that you have proposed for character design and anatomy (optional) or you can have it separate. Your vehicle and props should communicate their functionality that reflects the world proposed. Note that for vehicles (man-made mechanical), you are to choose 1 minimum from any of these types (land, air, water), whilst props are the components suitable to the vehicle that you will be continuously developing till your Final Project. Here you will be showcasing your ideation process as listed below:
1. Moodboard and style guide
2. Thumbnail Sketches (20 drawings in 2 sheets)
3. Silhouettes (10 pieces in 1 sheet)
4. Rough value painting (5 chosen from the silhouettes) - 1 sheet
5. Design breakdowns - min 1 sheet

Moodboard
Mr.Kannan draws all of his examples in Photoshop. However, I chose to draw in Procreate. That way I'm able to draw on the go.

For the next task, we are given a choice to do 3D or draw all 3 chosen vehicles and give a viewpoint. So i decided to go for 3D, just because I could use up the time to be a little better in Maya 3D software.
Pictures below are Viewpoints of the 3D silhouette I drew.
I went ahead a draw on it so I could color it better later on during the task.

Feedback
Week 5 (30/9/22)
Alright, looks good, Make sure to add a few lines, to the structure from where the engine door comes from or where the inner of the vehicle comes from. Try and warm some of the section so it does not look too stiff. Color-wise is okay. Overall should be good to go.
