Lectures

Week 1
In the first week, all of us were briefed by Mr. Kannan on the basics of anatomy and Sculpting. First, he showed us the tasks and assignments we were assigned to do throughout the week. Mr.Kannan showed us specifically how to draw and how to look for references if must.

We were also thought how to use this new software we were introduced to, and that is Zbrush. Zbrush allows us to sculpt any time model, such as a character or any other fantasy character. The shapes used were cubes, cylinders, triangles, and circles for joints.

Week 3

This week Mr. Kannan taught us how to proper anatomy by constructing the idea of a body being made. Such as from the skull down all the way to the bottom. In this case, he starts off with the skeleton and slowly sculpts till a proper body composition.

We were also given a book in a format of a PDF to study anatomy and how to construct it properly. I decided to go through some of them in order to understand how to construct anatomy properly. I realized my design drawing is quite poor at a beginner's level.

I managed to search for some proper references and decided to give this draw a go, but one thing I have trouble with is that I couldn't focus on each reference and I'm unable to draw the exact look which leads me to have multiple art blocks.

Though it was quite difficult as a beginner, I tried my best to draw for myself to understand anatomy, so that in the future I'm aware of my mistakes in the present.

We were assigned to practice sculpting a head in Zbrush but Mr. Kannan allows us to use Maya too. Since I am experienced with Maya i thought I could use the opportunity to use Maya and sculpt a head.

I also decided to do the whole body in Maya. I was struggling quite a bit since I had to follow a bunch of references on how to do a skeleton body.
