Notes for Korean Lessons

Hello! My name is Nurul Asilah and (0353346 ) is my ID. I am in my third year of a Bachelor of Design in Creative Media at Taylor's University, specializing in entertainment design.

Learning a new language opens up a world of opportunities, allowing us to connect with different cultures and people. As a person who loves exploring and learning new things, I have developed a keen interest in the Korean language. In this blog, I will outline my study plan, delve into my interests, and discuss my goals for the Korean class, demonstrating my dedication and commitment to mastering this beautiful language. (hopefully :')

For my study plan, I will first embark on this exciting language learning journey, I have devised a comprehensive study plan that encompasses various aspects of language acquisition. Firstly, I will allocate a specific time each day for focused study sessions. Consistency is key, and by dedicating a set amount of time to Korean language learning, I aim to make steady progress.

Furthermore, I understand the importance of a structured approach. I plan to start with the basics, mastering the Korean alphabet (Hangul), pronunciation, and basic grammar. Building a strong foundation will enable me to tackle more complex linguistic structures as I advance. To supplement my classroom learning, I will utilize a combination of textbooks, online resources, language exchange programs, and language learning apps. These resources will provide me with a well-rounded learning experience, offering opportunities for practice, reinforcement, and exposure to authentic language materials.

My passion for Korean culture has been a significant driving force behind my decision to study the language. The rich history, vibrant traditions, and dynamic pop culture of South Korea have captivated me. Through learning the Korean language, I hope to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for these aspects of Korean society.

Additionally, I have always been fascinated by the power of language to connect people. By learning Korean, I aim to bridge the gap between cultures and foster meaningful connections with Korean speakers. Language has the ability to open doors to new friendships, business opportunities, and cross-cultural understanding. I am eager to explore the depths of Korean literature, music, and cinema with a deeper understanding of the language, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the country's artistic offerings.

While participating in the Korean class, I have set several goals that I aim to achieve. Firstly, I strive to develop proficiency in all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. By actively engaging in class discussions, listening to authentic Korean audio, reading various texts, and practicing written assignments, I hope to enhance my overall language proficiency.

Furthermore, I understand the importance of cultural competence in language learning. Throughout the course, I intend to delve into Korean culture, traditions, and etiquette. By understanding the cultural nuances embedded in the language, I hope to become a more proficient and respectful communicator. This will enable me to engage in meaningful conversations and build strong relationships with native Korean speakers.

Another goal of mine is to achieve fluency in casual and formal speech. The ability to adapt my language style to different situations is crucial, as it allows for effective communication in various contexts. I aim to develop the necessary linguistic skills to express myself confidently and accurately, whether in an informal conversation with friends or during professional settings.

In conclusion, my study plan, interests, and goals for the Korean class exemplify my dedication to learning the language. By following a structured study plan, immersing myself in Korean culture, and setting specific goals, I aim to achieve proficiency in the language. Korean is not merely a subject of study for me; it represents a gateway to a new world of connections, opportunities, and personal growth. I eagerly anticipate the challenges and rewards that lie ahead as I embark on this exciting language-learning journey.

These are my Korean notes, however, I wish there were more but as for now, I'm still trying to get used to the basics.
